BEHIND THE SCENES AT BEAUMARIS

BEAUMARIS VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS, ANGLESEY’S FIRST EVER DRONE SHOW

Behind the Scenes of the Beaumaris Custom Drone Show

Creating a custom drone light show is always a special process. For the Beaumaris project, we worked closely with the client to bring their ideas to life and make sure the show reflected the spirit of the town. Here is a simple look at how the design came together from the first meeting to the final presentation.

Beaumaris, Anglesey

Initial Meeting and Design Brief

Every project begins with understanding the client and their plans. In our first meeting, we spoke about the event, the crowd, and the feeling they wanted the show to have.

The client explained that they wanted something that would stand out and feel true to Beaumaris. We took notes, asked questions and made sure we were clear on what the final result should deliver.

This was going to be Anglesey’s FIRST EVER DRONE SHOW.

Special Formations for Beaumaris

The client requested a set of formations that would make the show unique to the town. These included Myfanwy the Dragon, the Town Hall, the Castle, a Puffin and the Beaumaris Shield.

Each formation needed to look clear, move well in the sky and match the story of the show. These ideas became the foundation for the design work that followed.

Working With Our Design Team

Once the brief was agreed, we passed all details to our design team. They began sketching, modelling and shaping each formation. This stage is all about testing ideas and seeing what works well in the air.

The team also planned how each formation would move and how they would link together during the show. Everything must be timed and placed with care so the audience sees a smooth flow from start to finish.

Mixing the Sound Track in Ableton Live 12

A drone show is never complete without the right sound.

To give the Beaumaris show the right tone, we mixed a sound track in Ableton Live 12. This involved choosing music, adding effects and adjusting each part so it matched the movement of the drones. The aim was to support every scene and give the show a strong emotional lift.

Presenting the Final Render and Sound Track

When the visuals and sound were ready, we created the full render of the show and matched it with the completed sound track. We then presented everything to the client so they could see the full result before the live event. This step is always exciting because it shows how each part fits together. The client was pleased with how the ideas were brought to life and how the final show reflected the heart of Beaumaris.

The Beaumaris project reminded us why custom shows matter. Every step, from the first chat to the final render, was shaped by the town and its story.

By working closely with the client, building each formation with care, and matching the show with a sound track that lifted every moment, we created something that felt personal and true to Beaumaris.

It was more than a light show. It was a chance to honour a place, its history and the people who call it home.
