On 11 July 2026, Fly Capture Drone Shows had the privilege of delivering a bespoke 100 drone light show for the British Army unit based in Chepstow.
A Festival for the Whole Family
The event was much more than a drone show. Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed live bands, entertainment, food, and activities, creating a relaxed festival atmosphere where families could come together and enjoy the occasion.
As evening fell, the excitement built towards the finale, with guests gathering to watch 100 drones take to the night sky.
A Bespoke Military Themed Display
Designed specifically for the event, the drone show celebrated the identity and traditions of the British Army. The display featured military inspired formations that reflected the occasion while combining them with smooth animations and carefully choreographed transitions.
Using 100 drones allowed for detailed imagery and striking aerial scenes that could be enjoyed across the entire venue. From the opening launch to the final formation, each sequence was programmed to create a meaningful tribute while entertaining the crowd.
The Perfect Venue
Flying from a full sized football pitch provided an excellent operating area for the show. Open spaces like sports pitches, parks, and recreation grounds often make ideal locations for drone light shows, giving audiences excellent viewing angles while allowing the display to be safely delivered.
With careful planning and preparation, the site became the perfect stage for an unforgettable evening.
